B2B in digital world

 
B2B or B to B or BtoB? what is that? do you heard before in newspaper? especially Harian Metro or Sinar Harian? Do you believe the existence?
 
Yes, but I believed the one that you think is differ than what I going to write. B2B for today article is Business to Business and I going to zoom into the marketing aspect. If you a entrepreneur or future toke, you have to read this article till the end then.

Business to business in marketing term, is a transaction in between business, says between wholesaler and retailer. This is differ when the deal is between retailer and consumer, which they call B2C (business to consumer).
 
In the other view of communication, business to business refers to methods by which employees from different companies can connect with one another through social media.
 
From the video, we have learn that the web business are huge and the growth rate in significantly high. The ease of communication make the business become easy and faster where the buyer either retailer or wholesaler not require to travel more just to make the deal process. They can view, share or get the information earlier by using the digital media.
 
I want to share my experience in year 2010 after my second baby born. My wife intended to start baby products business such as daily wear and accessories. The first step that we do is open the laptop and Google the web. Unbelievable, there are too many blogs, website and article about the baby products.
 
China base web called Alibaba is a platform that we can connect to the manufacture, dealer, agent or wholesaler, just type whatever product you want, they will bring it to you.
 
The beautiful part of this web is that they can classify the product into many categories. Such as the country the product been produce, type of products, product materials, the price rang with the real time price offered and so on.
 
We spent many weeks looking into the design that we require with reasonable price that the other side can offer. It is easy as ABC and you don't waste time to travel and money to pay the petrol and toll. After we have agreed with the offer, we make decision to visit the manufacture which is locate in one of small district in Guang Zhou. This visit is important where I can physically meet the people that I deal virtually and also to verify the product that which have been agreed in previous deal.
 
During the stay, we have meeting with many manufactures where broadening our network between the manufacture. We found out that not only the manufacture, almost every agent, wholesaler, & retailer n that district are expose to the globe promoting their product. They said that this is the easiest way to connect with the global to introduce their product and the return is bombastic. Once the product up to the web, just like pisang goreng in Malaysia.
